The task

The first hall of PREbeton opened in 2020, but the rapid growth in production demand has already led to the need for an extension after the first six months. Based on the designs prepared by the Client's professional team, we had an easy job with the pricing, but in addition to the exact technical content, we had to take into account the need to keep the factory running and the delivery of products uninterrupted. The Client's close-knit team efficiently handled the challenges of the expansion, and the factory was extended with two new halls and a three-storey, well-equipped office block.

The construction

Construction traffic has been successfully separated from factory production, minimising inconvenience. We have sought to make arrangements with local or nearby businesses. After excavation and deep foundations were completed during the autumn, we finished the complete foundation of the building, soil stabilisation and bedding under the industrial floor. We installed some of the reinforced concrete pillars before the short Christmas shutdown. January got off to a flying start, ahead of schedule and we met the milestones, supporting the work of the foreign technology installers and the start of trial production.

Handover

Our tasks included the preparation of all the documentation required to obtain the occupancy permit. Thanks to the carefully prepared materials, the implementation and technical inspection team successfully obtained the permit two weeks before the deadline. The technical handover and the correction of the defects list also went smoothly, so that the project was successfully completed on time.

CPH has never carried out a project of this scale before, and we are convinced that the Client could not have received a better service from a more established general contractor. The factory ran smoothly throughout the construction, thanks in large part to the professionalism and helpfulness of the Client's staff.
